Thank you

Today was the first gala that we've held at the new leisure centre, and the feedback so far has been great. I hope that everyone enjoyed it.

Thank you to Lindsey Henderson for organising the volunteers, sweets and many other things, including printing on very short notice, when my own printer gave up the will to live.

Thank you to Ruth Tweedie, my partner for doing the results - we spent three hours shouting at each other over the glorious noise of cheers.

Thank you to The Hewitt family - who arrived on a few hours of sleep on return from holiday to support us today on poolside. To The Watson family, who stood on level 1 with the Freemans to sell tickets and Kit alongside Dave Parsisson who organised a great raffle.

Thank you to our coaches and volunteers on poolside, Michelle, Claire, Mark, Stephen, Paul, Shelly, Katie & Daisy

And to Abigail, Ewan, Charlotte, Lucy, and Miles from PB squad who came to help out, and Isla, who couldn’t swim but came to help anyway. Great job guys!

Spectators – thank you for your generosity and support from the balcony.

Lastly, thank you to our wonderful swimmers aged 7yrs to 16yrs, some of whom competed for the first time - to our experienced swimmers who all gave 100%. Special mention to Rebecca Rigg, only 12yrs old, who did the overall fastest girls’ 50m free time.

I hope I haven’t missed anyone!

Lesley
