The Committee

The club is organised and administered by committee.

The committee is elected annually at the club's Annual General Meeting.

Club members (aged over 18) are eligible for nomination to any committee post.

Chairperson

The Chairperson is the principal officer for the club and is elected by the club members. The Chairperson is responsible for the leadership and governance responsibilities of the club

Secretary

The Club Secretary is key to the smooth running of the club. They provide a main point of contact for administration, information and communication and also the point of contact for information about the club and organises club trails.

Treasurer

Responsible for managing the day-to-day finances of our Club - all income and expenses.  Also prepares the annual accounts for sign-off by an independent accountant.

Fundraising and Official Coordinator

The Fundraising and Officials Coordinator is responsible for creating a fundraising plan for the season and working with the fundraising team to execute the plan. This also includes contacting local businesses for sponsorship opportunities. Gillian also coordinates officials for internal and external galas t

Trials Officer and membership secretary

The Trials Officer is the first point of contact for our new members. They will organise the trials and inform our members of all they need to do to join.

The Club Membership Secretary is the key link between the club and the Swim England membership team. They look after they the day to day registration of all club members with Swim England

The Health and Safety officer is responsible for ensuring that the club is safe and effective and are operating in line with all appropriate health and safety guidelines

Welfare Officer

This role is essential in providing a first point of contact for children, parents and adults

within the club who have a child safeguarding or welfare concern.

Please contact Jon if you have any safeguarding or welfare concerns.

Jon also ensures that all relevant club members, volunteers and staff have an up to date DBS Enhanced Disclosure and the opportunity to access appropriate child safeguarding training
