Dear All,
I hope you are all looking forward to coming to sunny South Shields on Sunday!
As the meet is very busy, I have attached a seating plan for coaches with allocated spaces around the poolside.
Spectator seating is 250 but there is plenty standing space on the balcony with a large area just after the entrance to the balcony as well as behind the spectator seating which should be enough to accommodate everyone. However, we would ask that if parents can try (where possible) to attend with only 1 adult per swimmer it would be appreciated. Swimmers are not allowed in the spectator area. Seating will be first come first served basis and we would ask that parents do not place bags etc onto spectator seating. Entrance fees are £5 half day, £10 full day to include a start list and raffle ticket, cash only please.
Due to limited space around poolside we would ask that swimmers put large bags into lockers in the changing area - these take £1 coin or trolley token, which is returnable.
Haven Point has plenty parking around the pool, all car parks are £5 for the full day and take either cash or Pay By Phone - if you do not already have Pay By Phone, you may want to download the app ahead of Sunday. If you park behind the pool on one of the seafront carparks, there is a rear entrance door to the building.
For those travelling from outside the area, if you are travelling through the Tyne Tunnel, you must either pre-pay for your journey or pay within 12 hours after your journey, you cannot pay cash as you travel through the tunnels. Journey's can be pre-paid on the Tyne Tunnel website at https://www.tt2.co.uk/
Haven Point has a good cafe serving drinks and hot meals (jacket potatoes, pasta, paninis etc) and has a number of vending machines, it is also surrounded by green spaces if you want to sit outside at lunchtime.
We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.
Regards
Julie
